Housing prices drop at stunning rate

Housing prices dropped last month at their fastest rate ever. The Standard & Poor’s/Case-Shiller home price index of 20 cities declined 12.7 percent in February. Here are some of the details: Phoenix year-to-year prices down nearly 21 percent (am waiting for the "say something good about the community" Azcentral to pick this up); Seattle off 2.7 percent; Charlotte up 1.5 percent.

azcentral doesn’t recognize Phoenix, Jon, they only recognize The Valley. And they don’t post items like this. They’d rather tout the $6M sale of a home in Paradise Valley, as if it were a daily occurrence.
How can anyone live in a community where they are cut off from all hard local news? For example, who would have known anything about the astonishing drop in home prices in Maricopa were it not for the NYT?
